8. Watch a classic movie or DVD from our movie collection.

1. Explore Highway
101 … Yaquina bay lighthouse, Yaquina Head Lighthouse, Devil’s
Churn, Cape Foulweather. All beautiful ocean vistas.
2. Hike to tide pools and explore sea life at nearby Otter Rock.
3. Stroll the sidewalks of vintage Depoe Bay (3 miles south) for dining,
shopping or simply gaze at the waves crashing against the seawall. Known
for being the smallest harbor in the world, Depoe Bay is picturesque and
worth the visit.
4. Spend an afternoon at the Oregon Coast Aquarium, rated one of the top
10 aquariums in the country (located approximately 30 minutes south in
Newport). The newest addition is a 200-foot clear underwater tunnel surrounded
by sharks, giant skate fish and other exotic sea life.
5. Visit old town Newport bayfront and enjoy the antics of the crazy Sea
Lions lounging on the docks.
6. Visit a local wine shop in Lincoln City (Wine 101).
7. Take a whale watching tour out of Depoe Bay. In March and December,
there are also whale-watching guides in several sites along the cliffs
that help spot out migratory whales.
8. Walk the shores, savor ice cream or famed cinnamon rolls at nearby
historical Taft. For traditional clam chowder, don’t forget to visit
Mo’s, which overlooks Siletz bay. Glimpse across the shore to discover
local sea lions taking a snooze.
9. Spend an evening at Chinook Winds Casino in North Lincoln City.
10. Enjoy a day of golf minutes away at Salishan Lodge. The newly remodeled
Peter Jacobson course just reopened this spring.
11. Dine at Surfrider resort for breakfast (one mile south) and soak in
the exquisite coastal view.
12. For lunch or dinner… there are numerous upscale restaurants
to choose from: Tidal Raves and Oceanus in Depoe Bay, Salishan Lodge,
Side Door Café in Gleneden Beach, Kernville steak and Seafood,
and Bayhouse in Siletz Bay.
13. Shop boutiques at the Salishan Marketplace (2 miles north), or bargain
shop at the outlet mall in Lincoln City.
14. Travel an hour north to visit the Tillamook Cheese Factory and the
Blue Heron cheese factory.
15. And more … deep sea fishing, hike to drift creek falls, find
historical covered bridges, visit local galleries, kite flying, search
for wildlife …. There are numerous adventures on the central coast
